Advent Carol Service – Westminster Cathedral

On Wednesday 11th December, the Chaplaincy team went with St Roses’ Dom Squad to Westminster Cathedral. The Advent Carol Service and the homily by Bishop Paul McAleenan was a beautiful reminder that God always keeps His promises and that we are called to be people of hope during this sacred season of Advent.
The actors and the singers vividly retold the Christmas story - and having real animals added an extra touch of wonder. Like the Magi, who journeyed to honour Immanuel, we too brought our gifts as a sign of love and faith.
The service was organised by the Catholic Children’s Society, whose tireless and compassionate work continues to bring light and support to so many families in need.
